Family Traditions is a musical family of four:  Doug, Trina, Abby, and Emmitt Hanner.

 Though employed full-time in the business and finance sectors, the Hanner’s feel God’s call to share His gospel message through a variety of musical styles wherever they are called.  Their unique blend includes their own live accompaniment of stage piano, electric bass, violin, mandolin, acoustic guitar, banjo, and various percussion instruments.

Contemporary praise and worship, favorite hymns, familiar bluegrass, and original Muncie Music southern gospel tunes are what you will hear and sing along with during a Family Traditions concert, all containing a message pointing simplistically to Jesus as Savior.

Trina and Doug have most recently been leading the music ministry program at their local church, and previously traveled with Heritage Gospel Music and New Grace Quartet, participated as youths in the Southwest Indiana District Impact Team, and come from musical families where they grew up playing and singing in their local churches and district events.

The desire of Family Traditions is to obey the calling of God in their lives.  One of those callings is to share with others the joy of music containing a joyful message.  Their mission is to challenge and encourage listeners to get serious about being engaged in the better way of living, evangelizing, and discipling the world around us.
